Tuesday 14/04/2020 – 9AM to 2:30PM

French For the Future’s Local Forums gather together students from grade 9 to 12 in French as a Second Language and French as a First Language for two weeks of activities in French. Thanks to the help of artists and people involved in the francophone community, we give students the opportunity to discover and to learn the professional and cultural value of bilingualism

Organized in more than 15 cities throughout Canada each year, thousands of students attend Local Forums. These events are free for all participants.

Josée Roy – winnipeg@français-avenir.org

Originally from Quebec, Mathieu Gingras obtained his undergraduate degree in history/geography from l’Université de Moncton. Passionate about the richness of cultures in Canada, he did a master’s degree in public administration at the same university and became its director of student development and recruitment.

Rayannah bends noise into music by running voice, breath, synth and percussion through loop pedals. Underscored by intricate beat-making, her evocative lyrics in French and English rise above dense soundscapes, pulling listeners into a world both dark and sweet.

Innovative on stage and in the studio, Rayannah unveiled her first full length album Nos repaires (Our Haunts) on March 8, 2019. This new collection of songs pursues and pushes the sounds and textures explored in Rayannah’s debut EP “Boxcar Lullabies.”
