Students from Grades 7 – 12 will participate in a full day cultural event provided by French for the Future and the Halton District School Board, to promote students French language skill development.

The forum local will include:

  • Guest speakers who will highlight the importance of French
  • Engaging workshops led by teachers and Grade 11 and 12 FSL students
  • Interactive games
  • Prizes
  • Exposure to possible pathways for students who continue with their French studies
  • Connections with other students learning French within the HDSB and the surrounding School Boards
  • Storefronts highlighting other possible French cultural opportunities
  • Snacks and more!

This Local Forum will take place at Country Heritage Park, 8560 Tremaine Rd, Milton, ON L9T 1X9 on Thursday Dec. 7th from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

After the conference, the student participants will take on a leadership role within their school showcasing what they have learned.  The students can share with their school in a variety of ways:

  •  speak at an assembly
  •  run their very own Franconnexion back at their school
  •  go to classrooms to share what they have learned at the event
  •  promote a positive attitude towards French
  •  Join our Google+ Community or share on our Twitter feed @HDSBFSL

We hope to foster a love of language learning with engaging activities throughout the day so students will continue their life-long journey with French.
