French for the Future announces today the opening of registrations for the 2023 National Ambassador Youth Forum! Students currently enrolled in grades 10 and 11 in a French program (Core French, Intensive French, Immersion, Francophone schools) have until May 5th to submit their application on our website.

This year, our 35 selected ambassadors will meet from August 13 to 18, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, welcomed on the beautiful campus of our host partner, Mount Saint Vincent University. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, two more students than last year will benefit from project management and leadership workshops and numerous bilingualism activities. All of these tools will prepare the students to become spokespersons for bilingualism in their school and community over the next year.

The program is completely free: travel, accommodation, and activities are offered to all selected participants.

Emeline Leurent, Executive Director of French for the Future, unveils the official poster of the FNJA 2023, created by Kill the Box designs.

The forum is always a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and leave a lasting impression on teenagers. In addition to the activities, they will be encouraged to practice their French and create their own cross-province/territory Francophone community.

“French for the Future allowed me to embrace [Francophone] culture and discover the roots of French in Canada. It was a wonderful experience, with fun activities, and incredible people, and I can even say that I am now still in touch with my French for the Future friends.” Nyamae Alloway-Pyke, FNJA 2022 Ambassador

The selected participants will be announced at the beginning of June.

Good luck to all!
