The French for the Future Local Forum brought together almost 200 high school students from across the province of Manitoba and took place on April 18, at the Université de Saint-Boniface. The Local Forum is organized in collaboration with the Société franco-manitobaine (SFM) and the Université de Saint-Boniface.

Through its fun activities and interactive workshops, students had the chance to share a French cultural and linguistic experience.

Local Forum Objectives

  • Create cultural and linguistic relationships between participating students.
  • Celebrate bilingualism and advertize the cultural and professional advantages of pursuing French studies.
  • Gather students from across the province and provide them with the unique opportunity to learn about their respective cultures and communities.
  • Inspire and educate the next generation on the importance and value of Canada’s linguistic duality.
