Memorial University, St. John’s campus

In collaboration with Memorial University the French for the Future forum will take place on December 8th 2015 in St. John’s. Almost 300 students from our two school districts (The English School District and the Conseil scolaire francophone) will spend a day in French on the university campus. The goal of the 2015 Forum is to promote the idea of “citizen of the world”. Learning French as a second language is just the beginning. A second language opens many other doors! Our guests for the opening ceremonies will be students who represent the multicultural community of St. John’s.

The workshop facilitators will encourage the students to stay in French throughout high school, participate in activities organized by Franco jeunes, and take advantage of summer programs. The organizing committee would like to thank the Department of French of Memorial University for welcoming French for the Future on campus again this year.
