The youth engaged with and for their community!
On Friday, April, 29th 2016, almost 200 students from the Greater Vancouver, in grades 10 to 12 from either the Francophone program or immersion programs who speak French as a first or second language, came together at the Simon Fraser University’s (SFU) Burnaby Campus for a day celebrating community engagement.

You can also listen to the participants who were at the radio, the BC Francophone Youth Council’s radio. They were talking about the five workshops.

#istandfor poor people,
#istandfor people with disabilities,
#istandfor the protection of the environment,
#istandfor freedom of speech.

We were live with the *Midi express radio show run by Francis Plourde on Radio-Canada.

We were so pleased to welcome Josh Vander Vies as our guest speaker this year! Josh Vander Vies is an active Canadian national team boccia player, 2004 Paralympian, 2011 Parapan American Games bronze medalist and 2012 Paralympic bronze medalist.
