(Toronto – January 26, 2012) French for the Future is currently looking for the next French for the Future ambassadors!

Thirty high school students from across Canada will be selected to represent their communities at the 9th edition of the National Ambassador Youth Forum (NAYF). This unique annual event, held in a different city each year, will take place in Edmonton, Alberta, from August 23 to 28, 2012.

Participating students will take part in a series of interactive workshops, activities, and cultural events that will provide them with the necessary tools to continue living in French and motivate their peers to do the same.  They will also share their diverse experiences and discuss the challenges and extraordinary advantages of speaking both of Canada's official languages.

By the end of the NAYF,  these 30 students become official French for the Future ambassadors: resource people and "special agents" of bilingualism among their peers and in their respective communities across the country, who fulfill important "missions" in motivating their schools and communities in bilingual action and awareness!

The NAYF is a unique cultural and linguistic experience, and is also a great opportunity to travel and discover the francophonie that exists within Canada, as all travel expenses are paid for by French for the Future.

The deadline to send in an application is April 13, 2012.
