Regina, November 15, 2010 – On November 18th 2010, 140 students from the Regina Region will gather at the Institut français of the University of Regina to take part in the French for the Future Forum, a day filled with fun activities focused on the benefits and advantages of being bilingual.
Under the theme "C’est ton avenir… un Canada bilingue dans un monde de possibilités !" students will take part in interactive workshops and presentations, which will inspire and guide them,  and help them share their passion for the language in their own communities.
The key-note presentation will be given by Mr. Gaetan Benoit, television director at Radio-Canada.  Mr. Benoit is a Francophone native of Prince Albert, who has been in the television industry for nearly a decade and has, over the years, worked on several productions for the Francophone youth of Saskatchewan.
An annual event, the forums give students enrolled in French immersion, Core French, and French First Language programs the opportunity to meet up outside of school for a day of fun and learning entirely in French.
Every year, about fifteen French for the Future Forums take place in communities across the country, highlighting a national connection and interest in bilingualism.  Each forum is organized by a local committee, ensuring that the region’s unique culture is represented. This year, the Regina Forum is organized in collaboration with the Assemblée communautaire fransaskoise.
