French for the Future is looking for ambassadors of bilingualism!
Do you love French? Are you passionate about bilingualism and involved in your school and community? Send in your application for your chance to become a French for the Future ambassador and win an all-expenses-paid trip to the National Ambassador Youth Forum in Quebec City in February 2011!
What is the National Forum?
Held in a different city each year in February, the National Ambassador Youth Forum brings together bilingual high school students from across Canada for four jam-packed days of activities.
Ambassadors will:
•meet like-minded students from across the country
•attend fun and informative workshops
•learn about diverse career paths and possibilities
•have the chance to be mentored
•take part in amazing cultural events
•enjoy a gala dinner, where they make presentations
•discover Quebec City
During the National Forum, the ambassadors share their diverse experiences and discuss the challenges and extraordinary advantages of speaking two languages in Canada. A series of inspiring and educational activities give them the tools necessary to continue to live in French and discover the impact they can have as ambassadors of bilingualism.
After the NAYF, ambassadors organize activities in their communities, write blog entries and articles to be published on French for the Future’s website, share their experiences at the Forum with the media and act as ambassadors of bilingualism in their school and community throughout their secondary studies.
