Published by French for the Future on 07 September 2010
French for the Future is pleased to announce the appointment of Myriam Lafrance as Interim Executive Director.
Myriam has been working for French for the Future since 2008. As Program Director, she has played a critical role within the organization, contributing greatly to its growth and vision.
A bilingual Franco-Ontarian, Myriam experiences firsthand the advantages of being able to speak both of Canada’s official languages. She has a Bachelor of Education degree from McGill University and is presently completing a certificate in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Management at Ryerson University. Shortly after graduating from McGill University, Myriam spent two years teaching French Immersion to First-Nations students in an isolated village in James Bay. She later moved to Mexico where she taught in a bilingual (Spanish-English) school for three years.
French for the Future is very fortunate to be able to draw on Myriam’s experience, expertise, vision and passion for motivating youth to pursue French-language education programs.
