May 2011's Featured Student is Valérie Losier!

Valérie Losier is a grade 12 student at École Sainte-Anne in Fredericton. She has been a member of the Local Forum organization committee for two years now and she is a 2011 French for the Future Ambassador. She is also quite involved in her community as a gymnast, host and technician at the local community radio and tutor to elementary school students. At school, Valérie maintains a 97% average and excells both at languages and sciences.

Valérie is enthusiastic, responsible and always in a good mood. She embodies the pride of the French language.

Why do you think it is important to learn French? Because it gives us access to so much more information, reduces barriers, and brings us closer as a nation.

Best experience “en français”: The 2011 National Ambassador Youth Forum in Quebec City!

The coolest Francophone country is, in your opinion: France. Because when I think of the French, of their history, evolution, and all of the glory and prestige they had with the French language.

How you will use your French skills in the future: Next year, eventhough I will be studying in English, I will continue to do research in both languages and that will give me access to more information and in turn a more in depth comprehension of the subject. I will also continue to interact with people in the language of their choice. And I will continue to live in French.

A place you would like to go: The Taj Mahal in India.
