Featured Student: Regina Prost
January's featured student was
Regina Prost.
Regina was born in Germany and moved to Canada at age 8. German is Regina's first language and English her second. Throughout Elementary and High School, Regina acquired French through her Core French class. She is currently at the University of Regina where she is taking International Studies. Although she has not taken a French class in this current semester, she has taken a Spanish class and is hoping to take a French class next fall.

In order to improve her French, Regina went on a three month exchange to Québec in grade 11, where her French greatly improved. Last spring, Regina participated in the Concours d'art oratoire. She placed first in her province for Core French and then placed third in Ottawa at the National Concours d'art Ooratoire in the Core Extended category.
Through hard work and practice, Regina has been able to experience many different things: from her exchange in Quebec to the Concours d'art oratoire and the ability to manoeuvre
through France using the French language.
