Anne Kothawala

Anne Kothawala, who is fluently bilingual, earned an Honours B.A. from McGill University and a Masters of Public Administration degree from Queen's University. Anne served as President and CEO of the Canadian Newspaper Association from 1999 to 2008. She had served as Vice-President, Policy, since joining the CNA in April 1997. She previously served as Director of Provincial Affairs for the Canadian Restaurant and Food Services Association and worked as a consultant for Government Policy Consultants in Ottawa.

Ms. Kothawala currently represents the Canadian daily newspaper industry on the Board of Directors of the Waste Diversion Organization. The WDO is a tri-partite recycling partnership which includes government, municipalities and industry, to administer and help fund municipal Blue Box and other waste diversion programs in Ontario.
