2007 Local Annual Forums
2008 Local Annual Forums

A Local Forum is a one-day event, which will take place yearly, in April. Participating high school students will have the opportunity to hear from bilingual professionals in a variety of fields. These bilingual professionals will conduct workshops on how they have found enrichment in their careers and in their personal lives as a result of their abilities in both official languages. The Local Forum takes place entirely in French and is designed to give students the opportunity to network with each other and with the bilingual professionals they meet on the day.

In 2008, French for the Future / Le français pour l'avenir will be hosting events in the following cities: Whitehorse, Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, London, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Fredericton, Moncton, Charlottetown, and Halifax.

French for the Future / Le français pour l'avenir would like to express its gratitude for the generous financial support to all contributors, on both the national and local levels, and for all the hard work that has made the Local Annual Forums such a success each year.

In 2008, French for the Future / Le français pour l'avenir is proud to work with its local coordinators. These individuals will bring their wealth of skills, and those of the Local Committees, to a day rich with cultural activities and discussions to further promote the benefits of bilingualism across Canada.
